LGBTQ+ Stories & Representation

Last updated: July 2026

At Eleanor Whitlock, I believe every love story deserves the chance to be told.

My writing explores human connection in all its forms, including stories featuring LGBTQ+ characters, relationships, and experiences. These stories are written with the same care, emotional depth, and attention to character as all Eleanor Whitlock works.

Inclusive Storytelling

Love, courage, identity, and belonging are universal experiences. Through historical romance and fiction, I enjoy exploring the ways people find connection and build meaningful relationships within the worlds they inhabit.

Some Eleanor Whitlock stories include LGBTQ+ and sapphic characters, with themes that may explore:

  • Love and emotional connection.
  • Identity and self-discovery.
  • Courage in the face of social expectations.
  • Friendship, loyalty, and chosen family.
  • Finding belonging in times and places where acceptance was not always easy.

Historical Context

Many of my stories are set in historical periods, including the interwar years. These settings provide an opportunity to explore both the beauty and complexity of the past.

While my stories are inspired by historical eras, characters and events are fictional creations. Each story balances historical atmosphere with the emotional truths of the people who inhabit it.

LGBTQ+ Romance & Mystery

Some Eleanor Whitlock works focus specifically on LGBTQ+ and sapphic relationships, while others explore different forms of love and connection within wider historical narratives.

Where a story includes LGBTQ+ themes, this will always be reflected in the individual book description so readers can find the stories that speak to them.

A Note to Readers

Every reader deserves to find stories where they feel recognised, welcomed, and emotionally connected.

Whether exploring romance, mystery, friendship, or personal courage, Eleanor Whitlock stories celebrate the many ways people find one another and create their own moments of happiness.

Thank you for reading and for being part of this storytelling journey.
