Happy Mother’s Day to everyone celebrating today. I’ve been thoroughly spoiled — afternoon tea and cocktails at The Savoy, which felt every bit as decadent and dreamy as it sounds. The kind of day where the light hits the silver teapots just right, the pianist drifts through old standards, and inspiration quietly taps you on the shoulder.
Somewhere between the champagne and the rose‑petal pastries, a new idea bloomed. A series, in fact. I’ll be working on it over the coming months and sharing updates on the Stories in Bloom page as it grows. There’s something magical about letting a story take root in a place filled with history and elegance, and I can’t wait to bring you along as it unfolds.
I’ve also been thinking about posting some shorter pieces here — little romantic snapshots, tiny stories that capture a moment, a spark, a glance. (They’re often called “micro‑romances” or “flash fiction romances.”) If that’s something you’d enjoy, let me know. I’d love to sprinkle a few between the bigger projects.
Wishing you all a gentle, joy‑filled day.
